COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION   First 30 minutes at no cost

GARDEN COACHING begins with respect for each of us and for the environment... a relationship between client and coach, and the land.

With emotional and ecological balance.  With trust and respectful communication, some call it karma - bkb

  1. SIMPLY SKETCHED Consultation

A single introductory meeting, we walk your property as I sketch ideas with suggested plants... new or transplanted... with other garden tips during a 1 to 2-hour visit on-site in Eastern Mass., or nearby New England.  Not measured nor drawn to exact scale.

A good introduction to garden coaching.

$105 per hour, one-hour minimum.  $85 for students and garden coach clients.

  1. GARDEN COACHING

Quarterly visits as we walk your property for 90 minutes each season of the year, to understand and evaluate the landscape.

Does your landscape have enough color of flower and leaf, or interesting bark and form, in all seasons?  What colors do you like?  I suggest moving or fertilizing existing plants, or adding plants, and can show you how.  I can show how to prune.  If you are absent a season, I simply inspect the property and advise if anything needs attention... spring, summer, fall and winter/early spring.  The cold visit can also be during a warmer season to see or select plants a nursery. Annual subscription for four 90-minute visits on-site each season = 6 hours total.

$500 per year ($83/hour) + $105/hour for ALL additional time, including extended services.

$333 per year ($55/hour) + $85/hour for community education students.

  1. GARDEN DESIGN

A plan drawing is provided with specified plants.  I can select and deliver plants, and manage the project.  Plans drawn to scale (usually 1/8 inch).  Cost of a garden design generally ranges from $500 to $1500.

$395 Consultation on-site, with measurement/analysis of a “single project area.”

$105/hour for base map, design, drawing & presentation; $85 for garden coach clients.

  1. MASTER PLANNING

Extended plan for garden beds, patios & walks.  An overwhelming project is manageable when separated into smaller parts.  Decide priorities and install in phases; hardscape first.  Trees and larger shrubs are usually planted first.

ONCE PLANTED, a garden needs continuing care...  seasonal garden coaching...  monthly maintenance...  biweekly visits in higher maintenance periods depending on your situation.  Spring gardening is most intense, also pest/disease control;  Summer watering/weeding, some deadheading;  Fall cut-back / leaf removal, always checking the plants.  There is ALWAYS something to do in the garden for 90 minutes...

  1. GARDEN MAINTENANCE
